In this Washington Post article, a parent secretly records a teacher berating her child in front of the class because the parent needed “proof.” In Florida, the consent of each party is needed for a recording to be legal unless the other person does not have a “reasonable expectation of privacy.” Note the tension between the need for the parent to record to protect her child and the possible infringement of privacy of both the teacher and fellow students.
